I was born and raised in Visalia, California and have always had a love for animals. As a child I grew up in the city being around dogs and cats, but had little involvement with larger animals. Around the age of eight, my mother took me to have horse riding lessons to better my balance. I began showing in halter and western pleasure classes enjoying every moment. From then on out it was all over everywhere we went I had to ride a horse.
When I entered College of the Sequoias, I began taking agriculture classes working mostly on equine studies. Working with the horses persuaded me to purchase my first horse. I was taught by my instructors how to start a horse from halter breaking, groundwork, to finishing a green broke horse. With my knowledge in equine studies and agriculture business, I went onto Fresno State University where I obtained my Bachelors in Animal Science with an emphasis in Farm and Ranch Management.
In 2007, with the persistent nudging of family and friends, I decided to attend the John Lyons Certification Program. In working with both John and Josh I learned many new techniques for all levels of training, and how to break down problems that occur, to smaller problems to be focused on.
Today, I am working full time with customers at a stables and tack store. I am training part time, focusing mostly on groundwork and haltering of young horses. As well as caring and feeding for customers that travel out of town.
